MCHCC & LINDA LOPEZ  SCHOLARSHIPS

  The Merced County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that we will opened up applications for our MCHCC Scholarship AND for our Linda Lopez Scholarship February 1, 2017. Below, you will find the information, requirements, and applications for each scholarship.

To be considered for a scholarship, you must fill out the application completely and submit it to the MCHCC office before 5pm on the March 10, 2017.

Aspiring applicants may apply for both scholarships, but must submit two separate applications. For additional information, please contact the MCHCC office.

 The  MCHCC Linda Lopez Scholarship

The MCHCC Linda Lopez Scholarship will provide  one (1) Merced County High School graduating senior who has strong community involvement, assistance through a onetime financial donation. Linda Lopez selected student will receive a onetime scholarship disbursement of $1,000 once enrollment has been officially confirmed.

Linda Lopez Scholarship Requirements:

  1. Applicant must be of Hispanic/ Latino ancestry.
  2. Must be a student enrolled in Merced County High School during the school year in which they are applying.
  3. Must be a student who is maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Before any funds for scholarships are release, enrollment must be verified by submitting proof of registration.
  5. Individual must exemplify the values of Linda Lopez. This individual should be passionate about helping the Latino community grow, and be able to provide history of participation in his/her community.

How do you apply?

Applications for the LINDA LOPEZ scholarship are available in PDF format here.

  1. The completed application, including requested information (attachments).  Must be submitted to the MCHCC office by March 10, 2017, post marks will not be accepted.
  2.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

The  MCHCC Scholarship 

The MCHCC Scholarship will provide three (3) Merced County High School graduating seniors, who will continue his/her studies in the area of business or related field, assistance through a one time financial donation.The selected student(s) for the MCHCC scholarship will receive a onetime disbursement of $500, once enrollment has been officially confirmed.

 

MCHCC Scholarship Requirements:

  1. Applicant must be of Hispanic/ Latino ancestry.
  2. Must be a student enrolled in Merced County High School during the school year in which they are applying.
  3. Must be a student who is maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Before any funds for scholarships are release, enrollment must be verified by submitting proof of registration.
  5. Applicant must plan on entering into a business or related field of study.

  2. The completed application, including requested information (attachments).  Must be submitted to the MCHCC office by 5pm on the deadline date of  March 10th, 2017. Post marks will not be accepted.
